Founding Team

The EVolvDx leadership team brings together decades of experience in extracellular vesicle (EV) diagnostics, liquid biopsy development, and life sciences commercialization. The team previously founded and built Exosome Diagnostics, where they developed the world’s first clinically validated exosome-based diagnostic tests, including a prostate cancer test that has supported hundreds of thousands of patients and is included in clinical guidelines for early detection and risk assessment. Their work has also led to advanced EV isolation technologies, ultra-sensitive molecular assays, and biomarker platforms licensed and commercialized by leading global life science companies.

    Johan Skog, PhD

    Founder & CEO

    Dr. Johan Skog is a pioneer in extracellular vesicle (EV) diagnostics. Prior to founding EVolvDx, he was the founding scientist and CSO of Exosome Diagnostics, where he led the development of the first clinically validated exosome-based diagnostic tests. Dr Skog translated foundational discoveries in exosome RNA biology into commercially successful products, including EV based diagnostics and EV isolation kits. He is an author of 60+ peer-reviewed publications and inventor on 200+ patents and applications for EV technologies.

    Sudipto K. Chakrabortty, PhD

    Co-Founder & Director of Research

    Dr. Sudipto Chakrabortty is an R&D leader in liquid biopsy and biomarker discovery, with deep expertise in NGS assay development and multi-omic analysis. Prior to EVolvDx, he was Director of Research at Exosome Diagnostics, where he advanced EV-based assay development and biomarker programs.

    At EVolvDx, he focuses on translating extracellular vesicle (EV) and molecular data into scalable diagnostic solutions and has a strong track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional research teams.

    Bill Kelly, CPA

    Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer

    Bill Kelly is a seasoned life sciences CFO with 25+ years of experience leading finance, strategy, and capital formation for high-growth healthcare companies. Before joining EVolvDx, he served as CFO of SpectraWAVE, Vicarious Surgical, Exosome Diagnostics and Repligen, helping guide those companies through major milestones including acquisition, public listing, commercialization, and financing.

    He brings a strong track record of value creation through capital raises, strategic transactions, and disciplined financial leadership.
